launches new SIL/SIP reed relay with high voltage resistance

Pickering Electronics of the United Kingdom, as a leader in miniaturization and high-performance reed relays, has built its authoritative position in the industry with more than half a century of experience. The latest breakthrough is that the company announced the launch of a series of high-voltage single-in-line SIL/SIP reed relays with model 100HV. The outstanding features of this series of products are the provision of breaking voltage ratings of up to 3kV and significantly improved coil resistance compared to previous products. Due to its excellent performance, this series of products is particularly suitable for transformer, cable testing and other automated test equipment that require high voltage and low coil power consumption.
Kevin Mallett, senior technical expert at Pickering Electronics, gave a professional interpretation of the application scenarios of 100HV series relays. He pointed out that these relays are particularly suitable for those occasions where the supply voltage needs to be controlled and isolated, such as the management of SCR (silicon controlled rectifier) or triac gates. In addition, these relays excel in mixed-signal applications because their lower coil power effectively reduces the thermal EMF voltage generated during switching operation, thereby improving overall system stability and efficiency.

In order to meet the needs of different high-voltage applications, the 100HV series relays provide three different types of reed switch options, which can withstand breaking voltages of 1.5kVdc, 2kVdc and 3kVdc respectively. The 3kV version of the relay is designed with larger switch and coil pin gaps to adapt to higher voltage environments. At the same time, in order to meet special application requirements, this series can also be customized with higher voltage reed switches. Notably, these relays are also equipped with internal mu-metal magnetic shielding to reduce magnetic field interference due to the close arrangement of devices.
The new high-voltage single in-line SIL/SIP reed relays are available in one or two switch configurations in a compact package. Users can choose different configurations of 1 Form A, 2 Form A or 1 Form B according to their needs. In addition, the product also provides three coil voltage options of 5V, 12V or 24V, and can be equipped with internal diodes according to user needs to meet application needs in different electronic component technology fields. These innovative designs make Pickering Electronics' new series of products stand out in the market, providing more efficient and stable solutions for the electronics industry.
